#Artful detective cancelled series#
That is one of the reasons we like the show. Murdoch Mysteries or The Artful Detective (USA) is a Canadian detective drama television series set in Toronto in the 1890s and, starting in season six, in the 1900s, based on Maureen Jennings ’ popular Detective Murdoch series of novels that premiered January 2008 in Canada. With each season the character story lines change as in the case of Helen Joy, Yannick Bisson which is excellent leaving us more curious with what will happen next. Hélène Joy, who portrays Julia, has referred to their nickname in interviews. Detective William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) of the Toronto Constabulary is in Ontario with his son, Harry. The William-Julia relationship, often referred to by MM fans as Jilliam or Willia and more recently Julliam, (while the cast and crew call them Julia and Murdoch more often than not), is the will they or wont they relationship between the main characters William Murdoch and Julia Ogden. Why did Murdoch Mysteries change to artful detective In 2016, executive producer Christina Jennings acknowledged she would have preferred the series keep. The guest appearances are outstanding and it sure is nice to see some familiar faces. Warning: Post contains spoilers Murdoch Mysteries season 14 ended on a two-parter, and accordingly season 15 begins with a two-parter. We didn't see his name on the cast list as a guest star. 7 years ago Entertainment Duration 6:34 Go behind the scenes of the shocking Season 8 finale on location in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, and hear from the cast. The show reminds me of Sherlock Holmes and yet it also reminds me of Sue Thomas FB Eye and Due South which by the way it sure was nice to see Paul Gross (from Due South) appear in an episode as his brother, although not sure what episode it was. You can tell they all get along really well. It seems the times were simple back then. The clothing designs and artifacts is exceptional. Simple, yet top notch with a Canadian like atmosphere.Very realistic for the times.
